I’m glad Americans can start to have an honest dialogue about this.

  2. Jordi says:

    How did you find it?

  3. Jordi says:

It’s older than you think. April 2010.

I had a friend show the post to me on Facebook. I didn’t realize it was so old! I thought it was created after to OWS movement started. Interesting…

Is this from a consensus of businessmen on Wall Street? or could this just be a random thought from one individual?

    • Jordi says:

No one knows. THat is why it is both interesting and hard to classify from the “information literacy” point of view I have been harping on. Is this reliable? Is it accurate? At the very least, its very existence and longevity matter. I would guess it was one person, but given its viral history of being passed around, it speaks to the feelings of some sizable number of people who work in financial industry jobs. FOr a point of comparison, track down Rick Santelli’s (speeling?) rant on TV that is credited with starting the Tea Party. He goes on and on about bailing out your neighbor who was irresponsible.

I think that whoever feels shut out of the collective perception of what “the media” is talking about start to find alternate paths to make their voices heard. That can be protest, but it can also be an email passed along.

What do you think?
