Communication Can Change The World

Some people hate OWS. Some people love it. Some people support the message. Others adamently oppose it. Some like the people. Some write them off as lazy hippies. Regardless of how you feel, it’s undeniable that the movement has GOTTEN PEOPLE TALKING. That, my friends, is my sales pitch for changing the world. It requires to governmental action, it doesn’t subject itself to polarized views and stances, and it doesn’t cost a thing.  While it won’t end world hunger or fix the state of the economy, more than ever before I believe it’s necessary that we get people talking to one another. Speak with those who think like you. Speak with those who don’t. A dialogue is an exchange of ideas between two communicating parties. In order to grow and learn, it’s imperative that you hear the view points of people from a large variety of backgrounds and social positions. I honestly believe that if we each discussed social issues and the world with 5 people from different backgrounds each day, eventually we might just figure out this puzzle we all call Life.

I agree, I think by people communicating things can get done. I think the problem with this world and even the OWs movement is that people do not communicate effectively. This is where everything is going wrong. It happens in politics, business and social movements. I think once we start communicating in a clear, concise and understanding manner then the world can start being a better place.

I think it is more of a transparency issue as opposed to communication. People are always talking, but unless they have the real facts, it will just be going in circles.
